    Ray-Ban Aviator, a complete range always at the forefront

    The Ray-Ban Aviator has never needed flashy campaigns to exist. It has been here for decades, almost unchanged, and continues to do the job. Originally designed for military pilots, it has achieved what few glasses can claim: to remain relevant, regardless of the times. Neither vintage, nor truly modern, the Aviator occupies a unique space. That of the obvious.

    Its secret lies in a few things. A thin metal frame, light on the nose, and large lenses that truly cover the field of vision. Not just for style, but to effectively protect the eyes from the sun. A functional sunglass before being iconic, and that is probably what explains its longevity.

    The Classic Aviator: a must-have

    This is the most well-known version, the one that built the model's reputation. The green G15 lenses remain the historical reference. They filter UV rays without distorting colors and offer a natural reading of contrasts, even in bright light. A simple, proven solution that still works very well today.

    The brown B15 lenses follow the same logic, with a warmer tint. Many people prefer them for driving or long exposures to the sun.

    Sizes and finishes that make a difference

    Contrary to what is sometimes thought, the Aviator is not a universal frame. The choice of size is essential. Ray-Ban offers three main dimensions: 55 for narrow faces, 58 for a versatile balance, and 62 for wider coverage. A Junior version also exists, designed for children, with the same protection requirements.

    In terms of finishes, the classic gold and silver remain the most popular. But Gunmetal or matte black offer more contemporary alternatives, often highly appreciated by men.

    Aviator Reverse and Aviator Max: evolving without betraying

    Ray-Ban continues to evolve the Aviator sparingly. The Aviator Reverse model is a good example. The subtly curved lenses subtly alter visual perception and aesthetic rendering, without breaking the overall silhouette. A bold choice that has found its audience.

    More recent, the new Aviator Max plays with proportions. The lenses are wider, the visual presence more pronounced. The Aviator spirit is still there, but with a stronger impact. A version designed for those who find the classic Aviator a bit too tame.
